Hey members, it is time to put on your thinking cap and plan to participate in the BVQG 2025 challenge: Everything’s Up to Date in Kansas City.

The BVQG annual challenge will focus on the people, places, and local culture contributing to the Kansas City experience. Members can combine their creativity and sewing skills to create a one-of-a-kind quilt that illustrates their vision. Consider famous people such as Walt Disney, Amelia Earhart, Nelly Don, or Harry Truman. Or focus on sports and entertainment. Or celebrate the World Cup which will be held in Kansas City during 2026.
There are so many possibilities.
  • Size Requirement: No minimum and up to 72x84 inches
  • Due at the November 2025 BVQG meeting
  • Showcased at the December 2025 meeting
  • Exhibited at the 2026 Exhibit and Boutique
  • For the 2025 Challenge Questions, contact Kate Thompson [email protected]

Autumn Auction
  • Online & Silent
  • The Autumn Auction is the 2025 Major Fundraiser.  Our fundraisers support our Program Committee to bring quality speakers to our meetings, Community Outreach to support our Blue Valley Community and events throughout the year to make the Blue Valley Quilters Guild the exceptional Guild that it is today.  By volunteering to help, you will be part of the inner workings of the Guild while getting to know your fellow members.  We also need your support in the form of items to auction off.  These items are to be new.  They may be quilt/sewing related, a service, a fun themed basket, or an item your family may have and wish to share. Items could be new quilts, vintage quilts, bags, a basket you and your friends put together, a condo we could borrow, gift cards, a service you can provide. Put on your thinking caps!  The fun of this Online & Silent Auction is that you can have all your friends, neighbors, relatives all over the country bid on the listed items.  Truly showcasing BVQG!
